James "Jimmy" Crawford Prince

James Crawford “Jimmy” Prince, Jr., 86, of Commerce, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Northridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Commerce.

Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Nathaniel Long officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born March 16, 1935, in Cairo, Georgia, he was the son of the late James Crawford Prince, Sr. and Marguerite Bass Prince. Jimmy was known as an honest and loyal person who enjoyed auto racing, reading, and watching baseball. He was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Charles Henry Prince and Dorothy Prince Bethune.

Survivors include his siblings Ethel Prince Carpenter and husband H. Dorris of Hoschton, Ida Prince Burton and husband Roland E. of Duluth; sister-in-law, JoAnne Goings Prince of Moultrie; brother-in-law, Lee Bethune of Cumming; several nieces and nephews.
