MOULTRIE – James “Jimmy” Howard Terry, Jr., 72, of Moultrie passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Reverend Brad Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the service hour at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Terry’s grandchildren will honor his memory by serving as casketbearers. The Promise Keepers Men’s Group will serve as honorary casketbearers.

Born February 19, 1952, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late James Howard Terry, Sr., and Betty Janice Hill Terry. Mr. Terry loved his Lord Jesus and his family beyond measure. He will always be remembered for his strong faith in God and his commitment to his family. Mr. Terry spent many years working as a Maintenance Technician at Riverside Manufacturing. He was a kind-hearted man who tried to be a friend to everyone he met. Mr. Terry acted with honesty and truthfulness in all things, earning a good name by the character he displayed for all to see. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and woodworking. Mr. Terry was a member of Heritage Church and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his best friend and brother, Wayne Terry; nephew, Colt Hancock; and great-nephew, Hunter Hancock.

Survivors include his children, Jody Terry and wife Jennifer, Misty Nemeth and husband Shaun, Amanda Hall and husband Bud, and Cassandra Yazinski and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Tyler Stewart and wife Taryn, Trevor Nemeth, Gage Beamon, Ward Terry, Gavin Beamon, Patrick Terry and Emily Hall; sister, Patricia Hancock; nephew, Cody Hancock and wife Anita; niece, Hannah Pitts and husband Will; bonus family members and dear friends, Dale and Terry Taylor; along with a number of extended family members and friends.
