James Mike Horne, Sr. 85, in Doerun, died Monday, November 2, 2020 at Archbold Medical Center.
A private graveside service will be held at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Born August 5, 1935 in Doerun, he was the son of the late John Raiford Horne and Ollie Emily Smith Horne. Mr. Horne was a strong independent farmer and member of Doerun United Methodist Church. He was member and Past Master of Doerun Masonic Lodge #151 F&AM, Loyal Order of the Moose #1158 in Moultrie. Mr. Horne was a kind, intellectual man, and well-liked person.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Smithwick Horne; siblings, Douglas Wisham, Irene Phillips.
Survivors include his daughter, Paula Horne NeSmith and husband Danny of Tallahassee, FL; son, James Mike Horne, Jr. and wife Heidi of Thomasville, GA; sisters, Charlene Clark of Cantonment, FL, Dorris Baker and husband Ray of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Theo Horne and John Michael Horne.
