Jay Wayne Jarrell

Jay Wayne Jarrell, 60, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Hugh Ward officiating.   Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Reverend Ron Shiver officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born September 6, 1961, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of Marcellene Faison Jarrell of Moultrie and the late Richard “Dick” Jarrell.   Mr. Jarrell was a Quality Control Supervisor at Sanderson Farms and was of the Baptist faith.   He loved his family, was a friend to everyone he met and had a great sense of humor.   Mr. Jarrell was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his children, Shannon Jarrell and wife Tabitha of Doerun, Hali Jarrell of Moultrie, Laci Jarrell Pitts and husband Quinton of Moultrie; grandchild, Piper Morgan; significant other, Connie Jarrell; sister, Joy Weeks and husband Doyce; special cousin, Phyllis Brown; host of extended family members and friends.
