Jean Lynn Martin Spires

MOULTRIE, GA – Jean Lynn Martin Spires, 76, of Moultrie, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating.  Interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.  

The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM Thursday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born July 6, 1947, in Donalsonville, GA, she was the daughter of the late William E. Martin and Dorothy Corley Martin.   Mrs. Lynn retired from the Colquitt County Board of Education as a paraprofessional and as an associate at Walmart after 12 years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Moultrie.   Mrs. Lynn was a wonderful loving wife and mother, who cherished her family dearly and was always there to help everyone.  She enjoyed working in her yard and was an avid Atlanta Braves and Florida State football fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Spires.

Survivors include her children, Chad Spires and wife Keysha, Heath Spires and fiancée Tricia Smith, Holly Spires Young and husband Chris all of Tallahassee, sister, Pat Martin of Moultrie.
