MOULTRIE, GA.- Jean Williams Williamson, 86, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Woods and Rev. Matt Peek officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 AM Tuesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be Jeff Hall, Jason Hall, Joey Hall, Jared Sherrard, Bubba Croft, Rusty Beale, and Mario Soria.
Born April 27, 1935, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Harris Williams and Iona Drawdy Williams. Mrs. Williamson enjoyed being a homemaker after her retirement from The Sportsman and Bull’s Restaurants. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Moultrie. Mrs. Jean loved her family with all her heart. She relished in the times she spent fishing, eating out, and camping with them. Traveling with the love of her life, Sammy, brought joy to each day. Chip and Stitch, her pet companions, were always by her side.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Driggers.
Survivors include her husband, Sammy Williamson; children, Kathi Hall and husband Gary of Fort Valley, GA, Billy Sherrard of Barney, GA, Karen Croft and husband Greg of Barney, GA, Cindy Sherrard of Columbia, SC, Danny Sherrard and wife Cyndi of Ladson, SC; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Elmore of LaGrange, KY, Margaret Warren of Byron, GA; brother, Dwight Williams of Summerville, SC.
