Fort Myers, FL – Jeffrey Lynn Ward, 60, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at his residence.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Reverend Trey Eakins officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Born February 13, 1963, in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of Luther Ward and Gloria Nance Ward. Jeff graduated from Satellite Beach High School and the University of Central Florida. He was a hard worker who began his 36-year career working in General Financial Information Systems at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, FL before later working for Lee Health in Fort Myers. Jeff strived for perfection in his work but never forgot to be kind and giving to others for their contributions. He was a dedicated father who invested in the lives of his children by coaching his son’s basketball and soccer teams along with his daughter’s soccer teams. Jeff was very supportive and never missed a dance recital for his daughter in her 16 years of dance! He was involved with Little League Umpiring for 25 years and received the honor of being invited to a Little League World Series in Portland, Oregon. Jeff faced many challenges in life but he fought them all with a quiet determination that was an example of true courage to those who knew him.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his beloved wife, Becky Lynn Bradley Ward of Fort Myers; children, Jenna Lynn Ward of Gainesville, FL, Bradley Lynn Ward of Houston, TX and daughter-in-law, Addie Lynn Danos of Houston, TX; siblings, Sherry Ward of Naples, Florida and Wendy Ward of Dallas, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Ruthann Deiches of Kissimmee, FL; brother-in-law, Fred Bradley of North Captiva, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Barbara Bradley; Michael Perrin; nieces and nephews, Erika Booth, Heather Wasemann, Allison Deiches, Chrissy Buckner, Mathew Bradley, Sam Bradley, Christopher James, Kyle James and Kaitlyn James along with a host of extended family members and friends.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
