Jerry Turner Causey, 76, of Doerun, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Kimball United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Trey Eakins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 AM at Kimball United Methodist Church.
Casketbearers will be Andy Causey, Eric Causey, James Holmes, Camden Massey, Allen McCorvey, and Glenn Wilkes.
Born January 3, 1948, in Worth County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Harvey Turner Causey and Betty Jo Barnes Causey. Mr. Jerry retired from Fluor Daniels as a pipe fitter and was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Mr. Jerry was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed spending time with his cows, gardening, going fishing and messing with hotrods. He was a humble man who was known by a lot of people and will always be missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Causey Brooks.
Survivors include his children, David T. Causey and wife Lee of Moultrie, Cindy Bullington of Bainbridge; loving mother of his children, Bonnie Giles; grandchildren, Camden Massey, Dawson Massey, Turner Causey, Jamie Brooks, and Courtney Harrelson; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Tull, Clayton Harrelson, Khloe Harrelson, and Kelsie Harrelson; sister, Brenda Wilkes and husband Bobby of Sylvester.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Kimball United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund. t
