Joan Ruis

Joan Florence Johnson Ruis, 67, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020 at her residence with her family by her side. Graveside services will be Monday, September 14, 2020 at 2 pm at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Woods and Rev. Mark Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Mrs. Ruis was born December 6, 1952 in Colquitt County the daughter of the late Beckie Florence Walters Johnson and James William Johnson. She loved her family, enjoyed playing the piano and guitar, loved music. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother James Lynn Johnson. Joan is survived by her husband of 48 years Elton Wayne Ruis of Moultrie; brother Keith Johnson of Moultrie; sister Sue McAllister and Gary of Moultrie; sister-in-law Sharon Johnson of Moultrie; several nieces, great nieces and a great nephew.
