Joe Wilder Jones

Joe Wilder Jones, 79, of Albany, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at his home.

Born June 21, 1943, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Willie Ed Jones and Rachel Weaver Jones.  Mr. Jones retired from Dyes Heating and Cooling as a HVAC mechanic.  He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served as an Elder.   He enjoyed working in his shop and helping others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Pollock; brother, Billy Jack Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Phillips Jones of Albany; children, Debbie Pollock and David of Albany, Robin Thorne and Dora of Vero Beach, FL, Russell Jones and Margie of Texas; grandchildren, Kristi Pollock, Andy Thorne, Andrew Jones, Kaden Jones and Brianna Jones; great-grandchildren, Savanna Pollock, Anabella Pollock, Hagan Green and Jemma Pollock; siblings, Tommy Jones, Gary Jones; sister-in-law, Joann P. Jones; special friend, Delois Y. Hampton; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
