Joe Toby DeVane, 90, of Moultrie, died Monday, April 13, 2020 surrounded by his family.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside rites will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Woods officiating.
Born October 6, 1929 in Berrien County, he was the son of the late Kissam Parrish DeVane and Eula Mae Nix DeVane. Mr. DeVane retired from Southwest Georgia Community Action Council as a house inspector and was a member of Tyson United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ann Hill DeVane; great-grandson, Ashton Thomas Lindsay; brothers, Kay DeVane and Donald DeVane.
Survivors include his daughters, Jo Ann DeVane Lindsay and husband Roger of Moultrie, GA, Alanna DeVane Slightom and husband Larry of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Daniel Lindsay and wife Robin of Moultrie, GA, Justin Lindsay and wife Allie of Barney, GA, Giniann Slightom Forrester and husband David of Winston-Salem, NC, Andrew Slightom and Sarah Downing of Albuquerque, NM; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Lindsay, Sarah Lindsay, Tobie Lindsay, Brady Lindsay, Charlie Lindsay, Annalee Forrester, Benjamin Forrester; sister, Betty DeVane Hancock of Nashville, GA; step-great-grandchildren, Bella Griffith, Jay Griffith; special caregiver, Kisstina Herring.

A register book will be available at the front door of Cobb Funeral Chapel for anyone who wishes to sign.
