MOULTRIE, GA – John Wesley Sauls, Jr. 74, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 13, 2023, at First Baptist Church Moultrie with Rev. Matt Peek officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the Service Hour at First Baptist Church Moultrie. Casketbearers will be Adam Anderson, Dwight Dempsey, Bryce Wagner, Steve Wood, Jeff Powell, and Doug DeMott. Honorary Casketbearers will be the Adult IV Sunday School Class. Born August 29, 1948, in Rome, Georgia, he was the son of the late John Wesley Sauls, Sr. and Mary Glausier Sauls. Mr. Sauls lived his life in such a manner that he was an inspiration to many. He was a excellent example of what a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and humble servant to our Lord should be. Mr. Sauls was a faithful team member of Lippert Components for over 48 years. His selfless attitude and honest work ethic as a Director of Sales led to Lippert Components creating the Wesley Sauls Team Member of the Year Award which is given to employees who exhibited the same ethic and virtue Mr. Sauls showed others every day in his work. He accomplished a great deal in his life, but his most important accomplishment was always his family that he cherished so much. Mr. Sauls was the epitome of a diehard FSU fan who was known to consider Faith, Family and FSU to be the 3 most important things in his life. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Moultrie where he did his best to live as an example of God’s love towards others. The positive effects of his attitude and thoughtful actions for others will continue to resound in the hearts of many as a testimony to a life well lived in service to others. ‘GO NOLES’ ! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Sauls. Survivors include his wife of almost 34 years, Rhonda DeMott Sauls; children, Dawn Sauls Bauer, Melissa Sauls Wood and husband Steve, Britni Anderson Dempsey and husband Dwight, Rosemary Anderson Wagner and husband Bryce and Adam Anderson and wife Julie; grandchildren, Chad Bauer and wife Amanda, Blake Bauer and wife Megan, Reed Bauer, Keith Wood, Tyler Wood and wife Julee Ann, Ansley Wood, Braylee Dempsey, Anabelle Dempsey, Palmer Dempsey, Mary Aaron Wagner, John Wagner, Paxton Anderson and Gracie Anderson; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Eubanks and a number of extended family members and dear friends.
