Johnny "Mack" Russell

MEIGS, GA- Johnny Mack Russell, 83, of Meigs, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at his home.

No formal services are planned.

Born June 18, 1941, in Hart County, Georgia, he was the son of the late William Penn Russell and Cecelia Dees McKern Russell. Mr. Mack was a United States Navy veteran. He retired from I.B.E.W. as an electrician and was an active member of the Moultrie Moose Lodge. He was a respected, honest husband, father and grandfather, who loved his family and enjoyed getting together with his buddies. Mr. Mack loved the outdoors where he would go hunting and fishing. His memory will live on within his family and friends for years to come.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Harrell Russell; siblings, Bobby Russell, Nina York, Gladell McCarthy, Gladys Oberheus, Owen Russell, Wade Russell, George Russell, James Russell.

Survivors include his children, Becky O’Neal and husband Troy, Andy Russell and wife Marisella; grandchildren, Alex Russell, Troy O’Neal, III, Siyeh Gire and wife Kavakia, Bradley Russell, Ramona Russell; great grandson, Axton Gire; sister, Betty Murman; several other extended family members and friends.
