Judith "Judy" Staton Taylor

FUNSTON, GA- Judith “Judy” Staton Taylor, 79, of Funston, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Matt Peek officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private family interment will follow the service. Casketbearers will be Parker Taylor, Mitchell Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Connor Walsh, Taylor Walsh, and Chad Green. Born May 13, 1943, Kinston, NC, she was the daughter of the late Van Edgar Staton, Jr. and Treva Reynolds Staton. She loved her garden and working in the yard. Her yard was her sanctuary. Judy never met a stranger, was big-hearted and cared about others. Granmommy especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Van E. Staton III. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, G. Wayne Taylor; children, Lynn Taylor and wife Shana, Glynn and Gail Taylor, Cindy Taylor Walsh and husband Steve; grandchildren, Cheyenne Johnson and husband Colby, Abby Taylor, Parker Taylor, Emily Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Mitchell Taylor, Taylor Walsh, Connor Walsh and wife Victoria, Brooklyn Walsh Green and husband Chad; great-grandchildren, Elijah Walsh, Everett Walsh, Micah Walsh, Henry Staton Green; niece, Beverly Carter; special friend Marie Croy Hutchinson and many other dear friends.
