Julia Silva Horne

MOULTRIE, GA – Julia Silva Horne, 62, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

A graveside burial will be held in Cobb Suncrest Cemetery on Saturday, August 24, 2024. 

Born December 20, 1961, in Rio Verde, Mexico, she was the daughter of late Santos Silva and Marcelina DeLeon de Silva. Mrs. Julia loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She was a fiercely independent woman who enjoyed gardening, crocheting and cooking. Mrs. Julia was always trying to feed others and will always be remembered for her excellent tamales. She was a Christian who loved her Lord Jesus.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Santos Alejandro Silva.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Horne; son, Julio Edgar Silva; daughter, Karla Yadira Silva Fondon; grandchildren, Leonel Barrera, Bryan Paul Silva Perez, Yadira Berenice Barrera, Edgar Alejandro Silva Perez, Jonathan Silva Perez, Julio Gabriel Silva Perez, Fernando Nathanael Barrera, and Leia Valeria Silva Perez; several brothers and sisters; along with other extended family members and friends.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
