Julie Demott Emerick

LONGVIEW, TX - Julia (Julie) Demott Emerick, 61, of Longview, Texas, formerly of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, in Longview, Texas following a brief illness.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Julian Griner officiating.  Casketbearers will be Ken Demott, Harry Hart, Luke Bell, Alex Norman, Randy Lawhorn, Keith Lawhorn.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born January 12, 1960, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Anne Audrey Bell Demott and George Ronald (Billy) Demott. Julie had recently moved to Longview with her husband Mark after his retirement. Julie was a loyal friend to many, and she loved her family and friends immensely.  She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, and sister who always wanted the best for her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Ralph Alan Demott.

Survivors include her husband, Mark Emerick, Sr. of Longview; son Josh Bennett of Norman Park; brother, Gus Demott and wife Leigh of Clinton, SC; Mark’s sons, Mark Emerick, Jr., James Emerick and wife Angie, Ralph Jolley and wife Kassie; six grandkids; four great-grandkids; nieces, Maggie Isenhour and husband Brian, Katie Demott-Scherger and husband Mark, Mollie Rose and husband Jason. Julie embraced and loved her extended family as her own. She treasured her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
