Julius Clyde “J.C.” Cox, Jr., 66, of Moultrie, died Sunday, October 11, 2020 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Lakeside Assembly of God with the Rev. Donnie Lewis and the Rev. Trey Eakins officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Trey Eakins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Lakeside Assembly of God. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.
Casketbearers will be Bill Fife, Alvin Jones, Shannon Curles, Austin Cox, Dale Howard and Gene Motley.
Born September 3, 1954 in Moultrie, GA, he was the son of the late Julius Clyde Cox, Sr. and Mildred Mary Smith Cox. J.C. was the owner of Cox Auto Parts, Inc. and was semi-retired after 43 years of business. He was a member of Lakeside Assembly of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Sprayberry and Doris Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Cox of Moultrie; children, Jonathan Clyde Cox and wife Toni of Norman Park, Jamie LeeAnn Cox Williams and husband John Paul, Jessie Christopher Cox all of Moultrie; brother, Randy Cox and wife Darlene of Moultrie; sister, Rachel Cox Holloway-Messick and husband Randel of Alabama; step-son, Shannon Lee Curles of Moultrie; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
