Junior Lee "Guber" Wright

Junior Lee “Guber” Wright, 81, of Moultrie, GA, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Worth County, GA, with Pastor Eugene Strickland officiating.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the graveside.

Born November 21, 1943, in Colquitt County, GA, he was a son of the late B. W. Wright and the late Mary Fountain Wright. He was a painting contractor and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, James “Steamer” Wright; and a sister-in-law, Vicky Conger.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Elliott Wright; children, Anthony Wade Wright, Donnie Lee Wright and Katrina Wright; grandchildren, Cody Anthony Wright and Nathan Lee Wright; siblings, Shirley Odom (Ben), William Conger, Elizbeth Chapman (Jimmy), Linda Gunn (Kennyon), Connie Tucker (Pete) and Eugene Wright (Sheila); sister-in-law, Emmarine Wright; a host of other extended family; as well as a devoted friend, neighbor and caregiver, Wanda Worrell. He is also survived by his faithful pets, Lucy, Babygirl and Tommy.
