Katie Hazel Mitchell Mallard

 Katie Hazel Mitchell Mallard, 81, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at her home.

          A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday April 12, 2021 at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with the Rev. Billy Wilkes officiating.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.

          Born November 21, 1939 in Sigsbee, GA, she was the daughter of the late Henry James Mitchell and Myrtle Lee Asbell Mitchell.   Mrs. Mallard was a retired seamstress from Riverside Manufacturing Company and was of the Baptist faith.  She loved her family and cherished taking care of her grandsons.  She loved helping others and enjoyed working in her yard. 

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Mallard, Jr.; sisters, Betty Lamb, Dorothy Graves and Charlotte Martin.

          Survivors include her children, Hank Mallard and fiancé Gail Holt, Melody Mallard all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Dain Mallard and partner Devin Paulk, Colby Mallard and girlfriend Peyton Elrod all of Moultrie; special friend, Betty and Mack Cranford of Moultrie; several dear nieces, nephews and cousins and other family members.
