Kenneth Eldon Hannon, 62, of Moultrie, died Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his home.
A memorial service, with fire department honors guard, will be held 2:00PM Friday, November 6, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tommy McDonald officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and the family request that mask must be worn.
Casketbearers will be David Croft, Lamar Plymel, Lavon Cooper, Courtney Azar, Bo Sprunger and Chad Kilgore.
Born December 8, 1957 in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late Roy Eldon Hannon and Myrtle Lafay Moye Hannon. Mr. Hannon retired from the Moultrie Fire Department with 40 years of service and remained active in the fire service organization. In 2011 he received Fire Chief of the Year Award for the State of Georgia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Helen Suber Carr and Russell Lee Carr.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Carr Hannon of Moultrie; sons, Mark Alan Hannon and wife Kacie of Moultrie, Jonathan Lee Hannon of Valdosta; grandchildren, Kenlee Hannon, Asher Exum and special family friend, Trace Frailey.
