MOULTRIE, GA – Kip Tomlinson, 75, of Moultrie, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Heritage with Pastor Brad Bowen and Sheriff (Ret.) Billy Howell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will greet friends from 1:00-1:45 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Heritage Church.
Pallbearers will be the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Department and Lt. David Corona MPD and Justin Murphy.
Born September 26, 1948, in Savannah, GA, he was the son of the late Virgil Tomlinson and Reba Clardy Tomlinson. Mr. Tomlinson was a Marine Corp Veteran having faithfully served his country. His heart for service to others was reflected in both his service to his country and the many years working as a Sgt. for the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Department helping others in his community. Mr. Tomlinson was a man who loved his family and the Lord. He was a member of Heritage Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Frances Tomlinson; son, Lance Tomlinson; daughter, Lori White and fiancé Lester Rodrigues; grandchildren, Gabrielle White Merritt and Trey, and Kaitlyn White; great-grandchildren, Myles Merritt and Mack Merritt, and a number of extended family members and good friends.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
