Larry Wade Spires

Larry Wade Spires, 57, of Norman Park, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at his home.

          A private graveside service will be held in Deep Bottom Cemetery with Mr. Josh Gill and Mr. Matt Gill officiating.  

          Born March 12, 1963 in Moultrie, he was the son of Carolyn Eugenia Harrell Spires of Norman Park and the late Larry Spires.  Mr. Spires served in the United States Air Force as a Sergeant and EMT. He was named Airman of the Year twice, during his enlistment.  He was a quail hunting guide, loved horses and trained hunting dogs.  His family remembers how he was a very witty, straightforward and a matter-of-fact person.   He was a claims adjuster for Campbell Construction in Tifton and was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church.

          In addition to his mother, survivors include his daughter, Josie Lynn Spires of Moultrie; the mother of his daughter, Carol Diers Spires of Moultrie; sisters, Lara Price and husband Scott of Norman Park, Genia Lott of Tifton; special friends, Adam Campbell, Jeff McGuire.
