Lillian Pearl Reagan Wingate

Lillian Pearl Reagan Wingate, 94, of Doerun, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 17, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Doerun with Dr. David Benton officiating.  Interment will be in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 AM Saturday at the church.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as honorary casketbearers.

Born June 17, 1927, in Thomas County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Joe Reagan and Annie Ida Roberson Reagan.  She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Doerun.   Mrs. Lil loved her church dearly, and she spent time daily in fervent prayer for others.  Her family was precious to her, as she loved and cared for each one of them.  She and Mr. Jr. were known throughout Colquitt County, as they enjoyed eating out and cheerfully visiting with friends in all the assisted living and nursing facilities.  Jr. and Lil always had a bountiful harvest of homegrown vegetables which they graciously shared throughout the community.  Not only did they share the harvest, but Mrs. Lil baked goods and gave them to others.  Lil and Jr. were a dynamic duo, and they contributed to the lives of many!

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Torey E. Wingate, Jr. of Doerun; children, Torey E. Wingate, III and wife Ingrid, Gettis Joe Wingate and wife Charlotte, Velvet Wingate Brooks and husband Chuck all of Doerun; grandchildren, Monica W. Lewis and husband Fulton, Eric Wingate and wife Stella, Amanda Leigh Kinsey and husband Kevin, Garrett Wingate and wife Brooke, Clayton Brooks and wife Sam; great-grandchildren, Ben Lewis, Davis Lewis, Bowen Lewis, Thad Wingate, Wynn Kinsey, Rynn Kinsey, Garron Wingate, Davis Wingate; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
