Linda Faye Young

Linda Faye Young, 76, of Moultrie, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Julian Griner, Rev. Rolando Larosa and the Rev. Freddie Snell officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

          The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM Wednesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

          Casketbearers will be E.J. Williams, Jerry Williams, Owen Harris, Gene Harris, Daniel Harrell, Dallas Baker and Dakota Baker.

          Born April 20, 1944 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late J.B. Young and Bertie Williams O’Hearn.   Ms. Young retired from Hubble Diecasting Company as a machine operator and was a member of Lifespring Community Church.  She loved her family, and in her spare time she enjoyed fishing and cooking.  Ms. Young was a compassionate and caring person and was always trying to help others.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Edwin Williams; grandson, David Turner; her very special canine child, Coco.

          Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Williams Torres and husband Oscar of Cairo, Karen Williams Anderson and husband Mark of Coolidge, Lee Godfrey and husband Mark of Moultrie, Dena Lee and husband Kevin of Colquitt; son, Jerry Williams and significant other Tereasa Baker of Thomasville; grandchildren, Gene Harris, Owen Harris, William Harris, Kaitlan Harris-Wyers, Candice Harrell, Amanda Hinson, Hanna Scarborough, E.J. Williams, Jerry Williams, Jr., Lauren Williams, Holly Tyson, Daniel Harrell, Sara Godfrey, Dallas Baker, Dakota Baker, Jenny Baker, Abby Williams, Nikki Williams and James Williams; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Young of Norman Park; sister, Carol Snell and husband Freddie of Dothan, AL.
