Linda Gale Jarrell Whited, 68, formerly of Moultrie, died January 30, 2021 at her home.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Brad Bowen will deliver a message of hope and love. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.
Born September 2, 1952 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Gladys Hart Jarrell and Melvin Marvin Jarrell. Gale worked as a marketer for AMC bowling for many years. She was a member of Gospel Light Mission and enjoyed sewing, quilting, cross-stitching, and cheering on her beloved Georgia Bulldogs.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Jim Whited; sons, Ricky and wife Marnie Murphy, Mitch and wife Sarah Murphy; stepdaughter, Michelle Merryman; sisters, Phyllis Jarrell Brown, Melissa and husband Thomas Hurst; grandchildren, Christian Murphy, Chet and wife Bela Murphy, Abbee Merryman and Emeree Simpson; great-granddaughter, Xara Murphy; nephews and nieces, Jerry Smith, Jr. and wife Michelle, Jason and wife Kelly Hines, Diane and (husband) Lewis Herndon, Kate and husband Ryan Kozar; great niece Abby Hines, and special sister-in-law Terri and husband Jimmy Lucas, and several cousins.
