MOULTRIE, GA ~ Lora Norman Moore, 80, of Moultrie, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20,2025 at her residence.
No formal services are planned at this time.
Born August 3, 1944, she was the beloved only daughter to the late Edward and Winifred Hall Norman. Lora grew up in Moultrie, GA and went on to have successful careers with both Moultrie Federal Bank and Dogwood Plaza Retirement Community. She spent a majority of her adult life caring for the elderly. Lora was married to her childhood sweetheart, the late Charles A. Moore, for 50 years. They had 3 sons, Charles David Searcy (deceased), Kevin Moore (Beth), and Scott Moore (Angela).
Lora was preceded in death by her husband Charles, parent’s Edward and Winnifred, son David, honorary grandson Craig Bailey Bruce, great granddaughter Charleigh Ann and beloved Yorkie Wendy.
Lora was a lifelong member of the Seventh Day Adventist church where her husband acted as pastor. Lora was known by many as an elegant and classy woman. She was an avid shopper and talented interior decorator. Lora’s best and most beloved role was that of Nana to her 6 grandchildren; Christopher Searcy, Kyndle Macy (Terrence), John Michael Moore (Jennifer), Alex Moore, Drew Moore, and Noah Searcy. She was blessed with 5 great grandchildren; Willow, Haven, and Eli Newton (Kyndle) and Asa and Noah Ball (John).
