Louise Boyd Tucker

MOULTRIE, GA – Louise Boyd Tucker, 96, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Pruitt Health-Moultrie.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Trey Eakins officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Born April 3, 1926, in Colquitt County Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Reamer Boyd and Nancy Jane Johnson Boyd.  Mrs. Tucker was a retired cook for the Colquitt County School System.  She enjoyed her job and always made sure the children had plenty of good food to eat.   She loved her family dearly, was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and enjoyed raising birds. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Tucker, Sr.; daughter, Martha Sue Tucker Sumner.

Survivors include her children, Jerry Lee Tucker, Jr. and Becky, Tommy Lee Tucker and Patsy, Ray Gene Tucker and Judy all of Moultrie, Brenda K. Tucker of Albany, Priscilla Moody and Russell of Moultrie; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members and friends; sisters, Doretha Boyd Langston and Novella Boyd.
