Lynette Holloway Croy

On the morning of May 12, 2021 upon the beckoning of our Lord and Master, Mrs. Lynette Holloway Croy, 83, of Moultrie, GA, was called home.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 15, 2021 at New Elm Baptist Church with the Reverend Trey Eakins officiating.  Interment will follow in New Elm Cemetery. 

          The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall at New Elm Church.

          Casketbearers will be Colby Croy, Jarod Croy, Pax Newsome, Parker May, Coleby May and Justin Rountree.  Honorary casketbearers will be Gordon Crosby, Rodney Holloway and Danny Crosby.

          Born June 21, 1937 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late William Gordon Holloway and Rebecca Johnson Holloway.  Mrs. Croy was a member of New Elm Baptist Church, and their piano player for 40 years.  She loved her family, enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting and sewing.  She was a precious soul, who had a beautiful smile which lit up her surroundings.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Bernard “Buddy” Croy; sons, Thomas Jay Croy, Richard Alan Croy; thirteen brothers and sisters.

          Survivors include her children, Jerry L. Croy and wife Tamara of Gainesville, GA, Anthony Croy and wife Rebecca, Wendy May and husband Tad all of Moultrie; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
