Lynn Eugene Jay, 93, of Albany, formerly of Omega, died Saturday, November 28, 2020 at his home.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2:00PM-3:00PM Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.
Born November 13, 1927 in Omega, he was the son of the late Willis Carl Jay, Sr. and Ella Mae Roberson Jay. Mr. Jay was a United States World War II Army Veteran and a retired architect from Cobb County School. He was a member of Porterfield Methodist Church of Albany. Mr. Jay loved his family, enjoyed drawing, watching British comedy, car shows on tv and the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Nell Rogers Jay; one brother and four sisters.
Survivors include his children, Roger Jay of Albany, Jennifer Wilson and husband Kerry of Vicksburg, MS; grandchildren, Joey Holt and wife Jessica, Justin Holt and wife Tiffany, Jessica Jay; great-grandchildren, Caleb Zehnder, Addison Holt, Alex Holt, Ansley Holt.
