Mamie Sue Vaughn Barber, 82, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Pruitt Health-Magnolia Manor.
A private graveside service will be held in Hopewell Cemetery.
Born February 24, 1939, in Shannon, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Henry Vernon Vaughn and Lillie Mae Williams Vaughn. Mrs. Barber was a homemaker and a former member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Donny Barber; son, Thomas Joseph Stanfield; brother, Reece Henry Vaughn.
Survivors include her daughter, Jean Eckhart of Pensacola, Florida; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Louise Buckler of Sylvester, JoElla Bullard of Rockledge, Florida, Claudia Ruth Tillman and husband Donnie of Moultrie; brother, Freddie Lee Vaughn and wife Margie of Cairo; best friends, Karen and Thomas Jones of Pensacola, Florida.
