Manuel Torres Cortes

MOULTRIE, GA – Manuel Torres Cortes, 92, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, at Sunrise Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 27, 2023 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM Monday at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

Casketbearers will be Anthony Cortes, Tony Cortes, and Luis Terrazas.

Born July 26, 1930, in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Emiliano Borrero Cortes and Francisca Torres Maldonado Cortes.   Mr. Manuel was a carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed being outdoors, working in his yard, and gardening.    Mr. Manuel was an excellent craftsman who was enjoyed building and fixing things.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Butler Cortes of Moultrie; children, Tina Cortes and husband Luis of Moultrie, Tony Cortes and wife Donna of Titusville, FL; grandchildren, Anthony Cortes and wife Ann, Tiffany Cortes, Tasha Echeverri and husband Carlos, Jesse Cortes, Cole Hinson, and Cassidy Hinson; great-grandchildren, Nina Cortes, Scarlett Cortes, Skylar Cortes, Ben Hinson, Eli Rose Echeverri, Lela Echeverri, Raikkonen Echeverri, Bella Hinson and Skyli Hinson; numerous other extended family members and friends.
