Margaret Bennett Duncan

COOLIDGE, GA – Margaret Bennett Duncan, 93, of the Murphy Community, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A private graveside service will be held.

Born October 30, 1929, in Colquitt County, Ga, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edison Bennett and Irene Crosby Bennett.  Mrs. Duncan grew up in the Autryville area.  She retired from Bank of America as an Assistant Vice President, was also associated with C&S Bank and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.  Mrs. Duncan was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.  She had a lifetime of service in the banking industry and touched the lives of many people. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Duncan, Sr.; son, Thomas H. Duncan, Jr.; sister, Elizabeth Phagans. 

Survivors include her children, Pat Porter of Albany, Sue Dorough, Pam Brown both of the Murphy Community; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several extended family members and friends.
