Marilyn Massey Berry

MOULTRIE, GA – Marilyn Massey Berry, 85, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on August 6, 2022, at Legacy Village in Moultrie. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Casketbearers will be Michael Berry, Shaun Berry, Preston Berry, Lance Corporal Troy Berry USMC, Kody Berry and Dake Berry. Born February 14, 1937, in Colquitt County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Julian Massey and Alma Lee Jackson Massey. Mrs. Berry attended Emory University where she earned her Nursing Degree. She cared for many people in her role as a Registered Nurse at Colquitt Regional Hospital and will always be remembered as a kind, caring and compassionate lady who had a heart for serving others. Mrs. Berry dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and she was considered the best wife, mom, and grandmother ever. She also loved her church family at First United Methodist Church of Moultrie where she was a faithful member. Survivors include her beloved husband, Charles E. Berry, Sr. of Moultrie; sons, Eddie Berry and wife Kathy of Moultrie and Michael Berry and wife Sherri of Douglas; grandchildren, Michael Berry, Shaun Berry and wife Blanche, Preston Berry and wife Kristen, LCpl Troy Berry USMC, Kody Berry, Dake Berry and wife Ally and Kallie Berry; great grandchildren, Javen Whetstone, Jaxen Berry, Lanie Berry and Brock Berry; sister, Margaret Hart and husband Aldine of Moultrie and brother, Frankie Massey and wife Linda of Groveland, FL.
