MOULTRIE, GA – Marion Roscoe Massey, 84, of Moultrie, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Senior Care.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend John Eubanks officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends after the service.
Casketbearers will be Ellis Clay, Eli Williams, Jot McMurphy, Buck Dell, Bruce Brock, and Carl Powell.
Born August 28, 1939, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Marion Hugh Massey and Alphie Massey. Mr. Marion was a United States Army Veteran and a retired truck driver from Coca-Cola Company. He was a humble, caring husband, father and grandfather who loved his family dearly. Mr. Marion was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed eating sweets and candy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Massey and his brothers and sister.
Survivors include his children, Allen M. Massey, Melissa G. Hill, Randy G. Massey and significant other Lisa all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Feleesia Clay and husband Ellis, Ashley Williams and husband Eli, Harley McMurphy and husband Jot, Melinda Dell and husband Buck, Brittany Brock and husband Bruce, Jessica Massey, Rebekah Massey and Carl Powell; fifteen great-grandchildren and seven step-greatgrandchildren; sister, Lona “Shrimp” Gay; special sister-in-law, Sheila Houston; several other extended family members and friends.
