Marlon Delane Causey, Sr.

Marlon Delane Causey, Sr. 81, of Moultrie, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with son-in-law Ray Hester and Mr. Carlton Causey officiating.  Interment will follow in Kimball Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

Casketbearers will be Brittney Causey, Dylan Gamble, Greg Causey, Marlon L. Sharpe, Christopher Lamb, Selyna Causey, Darrell Fulton, Rusty Malone, Boe Marlon Matthews.  Honorary casketbearers will be Ray Hester, Adam Gamble, Mr. Marlon’s grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Born October 9, 1942, in Worth County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Frank Wesley Causey and Syble Inez Walker Causey.   Mr. Marlon retired from Marine Corps Logistics Base-Albany as a machinist and attended Lakeside Assembly of God Church.  He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, who was kind and humble to everyone.  Mr. Marlon enjoyed gardening, fishing, going to auctions, and loved animals.  He always had a dog named Max. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas “Bullet” Ray Causey.

Survivors include his wife, Rena Browning Harris Causey of Moultrie; children, Gregory Albritton Causey and Toni Marie of Worth County, Cynthia Dian Causey Hester and Ray, Marlon Delane Causey, Jr. and Suzanne, Eldon Harris and Tanya all of Moultrie, Stanley Raymond Harris and Patty, Chicago, IL, Rusty Ray Malone and Robyn Marie of Worth County, Suzan Malone and George of Rochester, NY; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen ¼ great-grandchildren; siblings, Carlton Causey and Gloria of Doerun, Larry Causey of Lake City, FL; several other extended family members and friends.
