Marty Charles Horne

Marty Charles Horne, 54, of Hartsfield, died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at his home.

          Funeral service will be held at 4:00PM Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Lakeside Assembly of God with the Rev. Donnie Lewis, Rev. Tom Lawrence and Mr. John Norman officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Heath Tatum officiating. 

          The family will receive friends from 5:00PM-7:00PM Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

          Casketbearers will be Robert Belcher, Steven Walden, Greg Thompson, Steve Sanders, Joey Cox, Jarrod Sanders, Tony Betts and Nelson Gamache.        

          Born April 13, 1965 in Adel, GA, he was the son of Betty Jean King Horne Bullard and the late Charles Ed Horne.  Mr. Horne was a structural designer with Technical Associates in Albany GA and was a member and trustee of Lakeside Assembly of God.  He was an exceptionally devoted and loving husband, father and son.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and working outdoors.   Marty enjoyed golfing, was dedicated to his church and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  

          Survivors include his wife, Julie Eve Sanders Horne of Hartsfield; daughters, Carly Horne of Moultrie, Hannah Welsh of Hartsfield; mother, Betty Horne Bullard and husband Speedle of Adel, GA; sisters, Jeaneane Horne Gandy and Richard of McDonough, GA, Shelbie Horne and Jeff Nipper of Rex, GA, Amy Horne Brooks and Philip of McDonough, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Jarrod Sanders; niece, Jessica Gandy Weaver and Jonathan; great-niece and nephew, Kailyn Cash and Jonah Weaver.

          Memorial contributions may be made to Lakeside Assembly of God, 146 Tara Street, Moultrie, GA 31768.
