Mary Jolene Tanner Hamilton

MOULTRIE, GA – Mary Jolene Tanner Hamilton, 74, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 2, 2025, in Bridge Creek Cemetery with the Reverend Randy Jackson. 

The family will greet friends after the service at Bridge Creek Cemetery. 

Born April 10, 1950, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Henry B. Tanner and Pearlie Mae Suggs Tanner. Mrs. Mary retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company as a seamstress and was a member of New Hope Church in Worth County. She loved her family dearly and was extremely proud to be called mama and grandmother. Mrs. Mary enjoyed going to the beach, going fishing and working in her yard and planting flowers. She was a kind-hearted woman and was willing to help anyone in need. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Josh James Hamilton; siblings, Johnny Selph, Merle Hester.

Survivors include her children, Duain Lasseter and wife Terri, Charlie Hamilton; daughter-in-law, Allison Hamilton Gonzales; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Janice French, Jackie Gandy, Sheila Ray; several other extended family members and friends.
