Micajah “Caje” Bennett Roberts, 43, of Adel, GA, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, in Berrien County, GA.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Monday, September 6, 2021, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Pastors Michael Harper, Cliff Kirkland, and David Smith officiating with son Bennett Roberts assisting. Interment will follow in Big Ochlocknee Cemetery with Bishop Ashley Woods dedicating the gravesite. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 on Monday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will include Scott Sanders, Bennett Roberts, Thomas Roberts, Micajah Roberts, Hunter Cobb, Cody Roberts, Cody Harper, and Chase Harper. Honorary casketbearers will be Robin Bailey, Cornell Buford, Benji Butterfield, Shane Carelock, Nicholas Cobb, Terry Cobb, Michael Cowling, Thomas Cross, William Culler, David Davidson, Paul Davidson, Michael Fowler, Alex Hines, Michael Jackson, Jamie Nail, Ed Norman, Heath Palmer, Kevin Peterson, Joey Roberts, and John Theron Roberts.
Born August 24, 1978, in Thomasville, GA, he was the son of Dianne Rehberg of Moultrie and Neil Bennett Roberts and wife Lea of Douglas. Mr. Roberts was a loving husband and father. He worked with Bets Environmental Services of Valdosta. He was an active member of Saving Grace Ministries Church, having been actively involved in both the Douglas and Nashville campuses. He was known as a family comedian who always kept a smile on others’ faces, a die-hard University of Miami football fan, a strong-willed devoted man of God through all circumstances, and a warrior for Christ who shared his faith willingly with others.
Survivors include his wife Logan Jade Doub Roberts of Adel; sons, Bennett Roberts, Thomas Roberts, Micajah Roberts of Sylvester, Jack Roberts of Adel, and soon to arrive daughter Micalah Edith Roberts; siblings Alice Roberts of Norman Park, Angie Culler and husband William of Douglas, John Roberts of San Francisco, CA, Lauren Shurley of Douglas, Cody Roberts of Valdosta, Joey Roberts of Moultrie; grandmother, Marty Gay of Moultrie, grandparents, Verlyn and Randall Hart of Pavo; mother of his older sons, Melissa Bartley; and a number of extended family members and special friends.
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edith and John Bennett Roberts, Dorothy and Theron Rehberg.
