MOULTRIE, GA.- Mildred Lou Jackson Norman, 95, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at her home.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Sardis Cemetery with the Rev. Stewart Bundy officiating. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.
Born November 6, 1925 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Willis A. Jackson and Hattie Lee Dalton Jackson. Mrs. Norman was a homemaker and a member and faith follower of the Lord at Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a foster mother for 54 children and was always there for anyone that needed her. She enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, playing bingo, going fishing and going to the Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lamar Ferguson, second husband, Levon Kennedy and last husband Jonah Norman; son, Willis “Buster” Carmen Ferguson, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Judy Maxwell Ferguson; granddaughter, Camille Ferguson; grandson, Kyle Ferguson; sister, Blanche Jackson.
Survivors include her children, Robert Sidney Ferguson of Moultrie, Gerald Ray Ferguson and wife Brenda of Estill Springs, TN, Jerry Lamar Ferguson and wife Debbie of Norman Park, Bobby Lee Ferguson and Ashley Littleton of Moultrie; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
