SUWANNEE, FL – Miriam Adele Mullins Russell, 95, of Suwannee, formerly of Moultrie, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at her residence.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, August 22, 2022, at Suwannee Baptist Church in Suwannee, Florida.
Graveside rites will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
Born November 16, 1926, in Griffin, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William Spensor Mullins and Helen Elisabeth Thompson Mullins. Mrs. Russell graduated from Griffin High School and went on to become an interior designer. She was a little sister for the Lion Club in Old Town, Florida. Mrs. Russell was a member of the Suwannee Baptist Church where she was a pianist and music director for more than two decades. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, dancing, and gardening. She loved her family and beloved dog Brandy dearly. The family is extremely grateful to Susan Ludwig, DVM, of Chiefland Animal Hospital for adopting Brandy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hulan Russell.
Survivors include her son, John Floyd Russell of Wrightsville, Georgia; grandsons, Chris Russell and wife Gayle of Norman Park, Georgia, Michael Russell and wife Catherine of Phoenix, Arizona; great-grandchildren, Madison Russell, Chelsea Russell, Courtney Russell, Brayden Russell, and Landon Russell; great-great-grandchild, Roxen Ferraro; niece, Rhonda Garrett and husband Pat of Rome, Georgia, and other extended family members.
