Mitchell Suber

June 14, 1941 — February 5, 2020

David Mitchell Suber, age 78, of Coolidge, was completely healed on February 5, 2020, after a long battle with cancer. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville. He was born June 14, 1941 to David Presley Suber and Winnie Herndon Suber who preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister Elaine Suber Durham, his wife Sherri Suber, children Lisa Suber Carr (Gregg), and Michael Suber (Alanna). His grandchildren, Natalie Suber Burton (Frank), Jessica Brooke Suber, Lauren Baker Huite (Taylor), Kaitlyn Suber Sellers (Clay), and Logan Thomas Baker. Greatgrandchildren, Clayton Sellers, Honey Kate Sellers and Baker Huite. He was expecting a fourth great grandchild in June, "Baby Sellers." He is also survived by the mother of his children Dorothy Warren West.

Mitchell was an accomplished farmer in Colquitt and Thomas Counties, following in his father's footsteps. After his father's death he continued to farm the family land growing corn, peanuts, cotton and soybeans. He also raised beef cattle and pork until the late 1980's. Currently he leased the farmland and pursued his love of heavy-duty dirt construction. If there was a tree or acres of trees in the way he removed them! If there was an excavator or bulldozer to be operated, Mitchell was your man. He was a perfectionist in his work.

The family will receive family and friends at 683 Suber Road Coolidge and will host a visitation at Cobb Funeral Chapel Sunday, February 9, from 3pm — 5 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on his birthday, June 14, 2020 at Mitchell Suber Farms in Coolidge, GA., on the airstrip. All family and friends are invited.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Drs. Josh Simmons, Craig Yokley and Tim Daniel Thomasville, MD Anderson Cancer Center Texas, Christi of Kindred Home Health, Ashley, Adreanna and Keonna of Kindred Hospice for the loving care they have provided.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030 or Kindred Hospice of Bainbridge, 432 E Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39819.
