Muriel Dice Banks

MOULTRIE, GA – Muriel Dice Banks, 92, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Senior Care and Rehabilitation. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Reverend Julian Griner officiating. Interment will be in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. 

Born June 19, 1932, in Taylor County, Florida, she was the daughter of the late James Emory Dice and Myrtle Rowell Dice. Mrs. Banks worked in the telecommunications industry for over 40 years. She began her career with GTE and continued to be a vital support person for several other companies until she retired at the age of 80. Mrs. Banks was very independent and cut her own grass until she was 70. She enjoyed working in her yard and had a green house where she could grow just about anything she wanted. She loved her family and will be dearly missed by them. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Kirkpatrick; and 5 brothers and sisters. 

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Mathis; sons, Frank Banks, Jr and Billy Banks; grandchildren, Stephen Mathis and Megan Sloan, Heidi Hancock and husband Michael, Melissa Keen and husband Jake, Carly Banks and Drew Eicher, Stephanie Sumner and husband David, and Bailey Kirkpatrick; and special friend Carolyn Huckaby; along with numerous extended family members and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Colquitt Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 3548, Moultrie, GA 31776.  

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
