Myrtle Elizabeth Fincher

: Myrtle Elizabeth Burgess Fincher, age 80 of Leesburg, passed away Thursday August 10, 2023 in Quitman, GA. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ken Burgess officiating. Casketbearers will be Tim Burgess, Lindsey Fallin, Jimmy Burgess, Brandon Peach, Derek Burgess and Lee Roberts. The service will conclude in the chapel. Visitation will be held after the service. Interment will be in Zion Grove Assembly of God cemetery. Mrs. Fincher was born February 14, 1943 in Moultrie the daughter of the late Beatrice Vinson Burgess and Harold Melvin Burgess. She loved to read, was a very good seamstress, enjoyed working in her yard cutting the grass, was a good cook and was a very friendly person. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Tanner; brothers Darrell Burgess and James Burgess. She is survived by her children Greg Fincher, Taika Fincher and Stephen Brent Fincher; grandchildren Shelly, Savannah, Max, Carley, Lily, Dalton and wife Morgan and Laramie; several great grandchildren; sister Linda Kennedy and husband Larry; numerous other family members.
