Naomi Beck Poole

Naomi Beck Poole, 94, of Thomasville, formerly of Moultrie, died Monday, March 30, 2020 at Thomasville Nursing and Rehabilitation.

          Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside rites will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Robert McCoy officiating.

          Born March 6, 1926 in Winter Park, FL, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Beck and Roena Gay Beck.  Mrs. Poole was a homemaker and a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother who enjoyed cooking for her family.  Many special holidays were spent at her home with the entire family. 

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Lester Poole; her sons, John D. “Buddy” Poole, Bill LeVone “Muggs” Poole; daughter, Lonnie Kent McLain.

          Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Richter and husband Wayne of Moultrie; son, Lonnie L. Poole of Milledgeville; daughter, Diane Eller and husband Hugh of Cartersville; son, Tex Poole and wife Dianne of Hartsfield; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
