Owen C. "Buddy" Wright, Jr.

MOULTRIE, GA – Owen C. “Buddy” Wright, Jr., 83, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Ron Shiver officiating.  A private family interment will be held.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00PM Sunday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born March 7, 1940, in Paris, TX, he was the son of the late Owen C. Wright, Sr. and Dorothy Roberts Wright.  Mr. Buddy retired from PCA Packaging Corporation of America as a salesman and was a member of Funston Baptist Church.  He loved his family, church family and friends and he was a proud resident of Colquitt County since 1973.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Clark Wright.

Survivors include his children, David Wright and wife Sandra of Sparks, Paul Wright and wife Kathryn, Kathy Wright all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Paula Craig, Whitney Wright; sister-in-law, Margorie Keeling; three great-grandchildren; several other extended family members and friends.
