Reverend Scott Steven Toon

HARTSFIELD, GA – Reverend Scott Steven Toon, 55, of Hartsfield, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Dion Brown officiating. 

Interment will be in Meadowlawn Memorial Park in Enterprise, Alabama on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 3:00PM .

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, February 16, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

Casketbearers will be John Robertson, T.J. Robertson, Owen Harrell, Thomas Griffin, Justin Wingo, and Dalton Hancock.  The deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church will serve as honorary casketbearers.

Born February 23, 1968, in Whittier, California, he was the son of George Toon and Janette Aiello McGee both of California.  Reverend Scott was the minister at Oak Grove Baptist Church.    He loved the Lord, his family, and his church family dearly, and was always there for them.  Reverend Scott was a faithful board member of the Colquitt County Baptist Association and was an avid Alabama football fan.   He touched many lives through his ministry, and he will always be remembered and loved. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Sean Toon. 

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Kay Wise Toon of Hartsfield, GA; children, Brooke Toon Robertson and husband Aaron of Dahlonega, GA, Micah Toon of Locust Grove, GA; parents, George Toon and wife Leslie of California, Janette Aiello McGee and husband Dean; sisters, Jennifer Irvin and husband Josh, Michelle Martinez, Sarah McGee Santiago and husband Adam all of California.
