Ricky Fred Hobgood

MOULTRIE, GA – Ricky Fred Hobgood, 64, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 15, 2023, at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Reverend Julian Griner officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00- 1:45 PM Monday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born May 5, 1959, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Fred E. Hobgood and Annette Motley Garner.   Mr. Ricky was a painter and of the Baptist faith.  He was a fun-loving, kind-hearted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved his family especially his grandchildren.   Mr. Ricky was an accomplished draftsman and skilled design artist.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Cannon Hobgood of Moultrie; children, Joe Seebeck of Orlando, FL, Jason Hopper and wife Effie, Timothy Hopper all of Moultrie, GA; grandchildren, Toby Hopper, Gabby Hopper, Trinity Hopper, and Khloe Hopper; siblings, Marcella Wood and husband Mark of Moultrie, GA, Angela Akins and husband George of Ty, Ty, GA; fur-babies, Jack and Little Black; several extended family members and friends.
