Ricky Curtis Parker

Ricky Curtis Parker, 64, of Moultrie, GA, died Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

          Funeral service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Julian Griner officiating and Rev. Jerome McNeese.  Interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.

          Casketbearers will be Steve Walter, Keith Williams, Trent Wilson, Tra Holland, Josh Lawson and Alex Eaton.

          Born April 3, 1956 in Blakley, GA, he was adopted in Worth County by Lizzie Wilson Parker of Moultrie and the late Curtis Alexander Parker on August 13, 1958.  Mr. Parker was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.  His family remembers how he loved playing the piano, enjoy church sings and reading genealogy.   He was the only adopted child of Lizzie and Curtis Parker and at age 29 he learned that he had eight siblings.

          In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by is grandparents, Minnie and Horace Wilson, Ola Parker; aunt, Bernice Bass; uncle, Romie Wilson.

          Survivors include his mother, Lizzie Wilson Parker of Moultrie; special cousin, Phyllis Willis of Albany, GA; aunt, Virginia Hamlin of Jacksonville, FL.
