Robbie L. Sloan

Robbie L. Sloan, 61, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Reverend Julian Griner officiating.  The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  A private interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Honorary casketbearers will be Jack Gay and Lavon Patterson.

Born March 6, 1960, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Willard Shelby Barton and Jeannette Matthews Barton.  Mrs. Sloan and her husband Larry owned and operated Moultrie Veterinary Supply.  For many years the couple loyally served customers, better known as friends and extended family, throughout Colquitt County and surrounding areas.  In their spare time, they loved to ride the backroads, travel to the mountains, and eat out on the weekends. Robbie was a loving and caring person who always put others first.  She loved unconditionally and experienced true joy when she was helping others.  She will be fondly remembered and missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Glenda Sue Boyd.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Larry Sloan of Moultrie; children, Donald Ray Roberts, II and wife Ashley of Doerun, Jessica Christian Thomas and husband Michael of Moultrie; grandchildren, Trey Roberts, Jeremy Thomas, Joshua Thomas and Mackenzie Roberts; sisters, Volina McClain of Moultrie, Barbara Morris and husband Royce of Blue Ridge, GA, Lequita Bennett of Deltona, FL; step-brothers, Todd Strickland, Scott Strickland, and Kylie Strickland all of Thomasville; step-sister, Elizabeth Adams of Thomasville; sisters-in-law, Betty Burnette, Ruth Sumner, Mary Taylor all of Moultrie, Bonnie Cweik and husband Jay of Tifton; brother-in-law, Ray Sloan of Moultrie; a number of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
