Ronnie Edward Gay

Ronnie Edward Gay, 73, of Moultrie died Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

          Graveside rites will be held 11:00am Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Midway Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Jackson officiating.  Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service and social distancing will be required.

          Casketbearers will be Ed Norman, Matt Sauls, Sean Sauls, Carl Gay, John Murphy and Scott Brown.

          Born July 23, 1946 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Dallas Edward Gay and Montine Pope Gay.  Mr. Gay was a self-employed general contractor and was a member of Midway Free Will Baptist Church.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Faye Gay.

          Survivors include his wife, Maralda “Marty” Williams Gay of Moultrie; children, Tracy Edward Gay and wife Brenda, Keisha Gay Spears and husband Richard all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Sarah Gay, LeAnna Gay, Noah Spears; step-daughter, Lea Roberts and husband Neil of Douglas, GA; four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
